First page of the Spanish version of Harry Potter and the philosopher’s stone is used in this resource to get students to practise different reading strategies: prediction, anticipation, skimming, scanning and decoding.
This worksheet was created for my Year 10 and Year 11 students to practise further their vocabulary on the topic of family, friends and relationships.
It includes a list of useful vocabulary (adjectives and verbs) which they can get to use in translation exercises.
It can give students some ideas of what to write on this particular topic, as well as providing them with a bit more confidence in their writing skills.
Answers to both translation exercises are included.
This is an A Level vocabulary list based on the second topic in theme 1 (Edexcel specification). It is not a long one, just a few words divided in three categories: adjectives, nouns and verbs. There are also some translations into English and into Spanish so that students can put those words into practice.
It can be used as homework or as support for less able or disorganised students.
